Updates between 25th of July and 29th of July

Quite a big update for the past week from Bernard. Check out how high the NW crane reaches now in the pictures for the 28th of July. It's still not over the height of the 'Quay Central' building but is not far off!

25 July -
- new slab poured on north side of hotel core (I think this is podium 2 level)
- more low walls built to north of commercial core (under substation?)
- two crane tower sections stacked near base of large crane, in prep for raising it
- a third crane segment is on the western loading platform
- comparing photos, it looks like the crane in the north-west corner was raised over the weekend

26 July -
- podium 3 formwork going up West of hotel core
- more block walls going up in substation area north of commercial core. I think they must be planning to build a suspended floor slab here, as the walls are fully enclosing large areas with no openings
- reinforcing being placed for last bit of Basement 2 on East side of commercial core
- pouring basement 6 on the east side of the podium area
- reinforcing is ready for the rest of Basement 6 in the podium area, and is being placed south and west of the res core
- the res core has jacked up a level since yesterday
- the crane tower segment that was on the west loading platform yesterday is gone. None of the cranes appear to have been raised since yesterday, though.

27 July -
- block walls in substation area almost complete (core filling them this afternoon)
- pouring last part of basement 6 slab in podium area
- formwork going up for Basement 1 west of commercial core
- crane in NW corner has been raised quite a long way since yesterday! So far it's out of the shot of the rest of the site.

28 July -
- pouring basement 2 slab East of commercial core
- block walls under substation were core filled yesterday afternoon
- formwork, formwork, everywhere… :-)

29 July -
- formwork in the NW corner is getting pretty high above North Quay now
- steel sheet formwork being placed in substation area north of commercial core (this is 'sacrificial' formwork that stays in place as part of the slab that's poured on top of it, and acts as reinforcing to a certain extent, I think)
- pouring basement 6 slab on the west side of the res core
- building formwork for the fire stair and carpark ramp in the podium area
