This is a blogumentatry project that is following the construction and development of the building complex planned for 300 George Street, Brisbane, with the aim of capturing the history from demolition of the old court building to the final completion of the three new towers.
300 George Street Brisbane is the site for Brisbane Quarter and W Hotel, Brisbane.

Updates between 15th of August and 19th of August

Here's an update from last week, quite a bit of work done. The commercial tower is almost at the street level now. The hotel tower is well above street level at this point and the residential tower is still quite deep in the pit.

16 August -
- slab poured on the west side of the hotel core
- slab poured on the west & south sides of the commercial core
- first part of basement 5 slab poured in the podium area
- basement 5 formwork has nearly covered basement 6 around the res core

17 August -
- reinforcing being placed on the rest of the formwork around the hotel core
- looks like they've been pumping concrete into columns
- currently pouring the smaller lift core / columns north of the commercial core
- formwork still going up around the res core
- reinforcing being placed for remaining sections of Basement 5 in the podium area, with some Basement 4 formwork supports going up
- fire stair formwork is assembled ready to be poured

19 August -
- reinforcing / post-tensioning ducts going in North/south of hotel core
- blockwork wall going up on South side of substation area
- some Basement 1 formwork supports visible north of commercial core
- Basement 5 formwork largely complete around res core
- pouring last bit of Basement 5 slab in podium area, basement 4 formwork expanding
