Close up view of that truck in the holeThis is a bit of a follow up to the previous post I wrote about the break in on site. Here's a photo submitted anonymously that shows the truck in the hole after the entire joy ride incident was already over.
It was a break in not an accidentI wrote earlier on the week about the accident on site with a dump truck being stuck in a hole. Turns out this was no accident at all but a break in.
Accident on siteThere's been an accident on site on Sunday it appears. Thanks to Bernard for sending in this photo. You can see below what appears like a truck/tractor has fallen into a hole on the residential tower site. The time lapse footage shows what happened below.
Upgraded security now with a DOG K-9 UnitThe security provider has changed from Sargent to Challenger Knight and they've added a dog K-9 unit too. Every time I've walked past the site, there has been a security guard and a dog on alert. I'm sure they don't want all that asbestos being stolen!
Things are heating up over asbestos and lack of paymentWalked past the site to check it out for myself today to see if it's really shut down. Yes it is. There is some picketing going on outside too. Will be interesting to see how it turns out. What do you all think, leave a comment.
Demolition stopped due to asbestos issuesThanks to a friend of mine for pointing this article out: http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/asbestos-fears-as-old-courts-demolition-grinds-to-a-halt-20140703-zsvba.html. Looks like there are quite a few issues with this development, from liquidation issues to now this asbestos problem. I'll have more about the liquidation of P&K later on when I get some time away from work to post about it
